1
GENOME ASSEMBLY
Refers to the process of putting nucleotide sequence into the correct order. Assembly is required, because sequence read lengths are much shorter than most genes. Ankh Bioinformatics is distinguished by its experience, we know that de novo assembly projects are foundational to any type of genomic research.
2
SEQUENCE ALIGNMENT
We provide a method of arranging DNA, RNA, or protein sequences to find regions of similarity that may be the result of functional, structural, or evolutionary links. This is a powerful tool for many fields of studies such as phylogenetic reconstruction, illumination of functionally important regions, and prediction of higher order structures of proteins and RNAs.
3
PRIMER DESIGN
Primers are designed to have a sequence which is the reverse complement of a region of template or target DNA to which we wish the primer to anneal. When designing we always have in mind to give you the best GC Content and the optimal length, to give you the most stable and functional primer.
4
METHYLATION ANALYSIS
Because PCR eliminates base alterations, traditional sequencing technologies require particular library preparation processes that may cause nucleic acid damage. At Ankh Bioinformatics, PCR is not required, enabling DNA and RNA modifications to be preserved and directly sequenced with no additional library prep steps. Long-range epigenetic changes, structural variants, and single nucleotide polymorphisms can be identified and phased in a single dataset.
